The person also told a council member to “Shut the f- up.” As lawmakers were casting their votes, an unidentified person interrupted the meeting with a racial epithet and by showing a video that appeared to be of a person on the ground being kicked repeatedly.
The council met to consider a resolution to adopt a memorandum of agreement with the city’s Civil Service Employees Association that would reconfigure the salary schedule and give most of the union’s members a raise. A special meeting of the Common Council was cut short Wednesday evening after a viewer on the internet “Zoom-bombed” the online portion of the hybrid event.
